When you are deciding to try the fojol bros. products, know that you will be helping the lives of children in DC. The fojol bros. will be setting aside a portion of proceeds from these products to fund at-risk youth programs. Children are the future, and it is our collective responsibility to ensure that they have a fair and equal opportunity in this world.
The fojol bros. go the extra mile by delivering used eating materials to recycling and composting facilities. Below are the types of materials they have taken responsibility for:
school trays, clamshells, hot cups:
Disposable, biodegradable & compostable eating materials made from 100% bagasse - sugarcane fiber remaining after extraction of juice from the sugarcane. Sugarcane is not only a readily renewable resouce, but the sugarcane fiber can be turned into products nomally made from paper and avoids the pollution from normal burning of sugarcane pulp after juice extraction. These biodegradable items are soak proof and have no wax lining applied to it.
These napkins are made from 100% recycled paper (90% minimum post-consumer waste paper from recycled newspapers, phone books, and carboard). They are unbleached (no chlorine or chlorine derivatives are used) and naturally brown in color:
These biocompostable sporks are made from 80% non-GMO corn starch resin and 20% other biodegradable fillers.
Polyethylene tephthalate (PET) water bottles that are more practical than many other plastic applications easily identifiable in a recycle stream.
cellophane bags are made from cellulose found in wood fibers. Certified biodegradable and compostable.
